What’s old is new again — narrative hip hop music is a dynamic occurrence of a thriving oral literary tradition. Led by hip hop artist Paul Sackichand and professional storyteller Rico Rodriguez, this year’s youth event provides an opportunity to learn how to add suspense to your rhymes and rhythm to your stories.

Paul Sackichand

Paul Sackichand of Beatface (myspace.com/beatfacemusic)
For more than a decade, Paul has been creating and performing hip hop music. Under the alias Change, he has recorded with well-known Canadian urban artists such as K-os, DJ Kemo, and Kamau. Considered by his peers to be a consious emcee, he was once a member of the rap outfit, The Oddities and was an artist in the collective, The Pangea Project.
