Dead Weight: TYPE Gallery Reception is Tonight!
For those of you who somehow missed last night's Die Scream Die!, hang your head in disappointment. The Gladstone audience was treated to Derek McCormack's ridiculous costume, Tony Burgess' multiple Tony Burgesses, fake bats and flying books. In the words of Screamer Kyle Buckley "I've seen Neil Young in concert and he was great. But this was better. Much better." Thanks to the Scream alumni (and the front row of the audience) for being good sports. We did videotape it so hopefully we'll be able to post that footage soon.
Tonight's festivities take place in the basement of TYPE books, where we'll be holding the opening to our annual Scream Art Gallery. There will be artwork by Mark Laliberte, Craig Leonard, Danny Snelson, James Hoff, Martha Baillie and Alixandra Bamford. Come down, have a glass of wine and hang out. Stick around until 9 for Signal-to-Noise: The Poetry of Information, a multi-vocal performance led by Bill Kennedy.
Saturday is a busy day too! Check out our festival schedule for all the dates and info.
